Roland C. Jameson was born December 24, 1905 in Coleman, the son of Carey B. and Helen C. (Wilkinson) Jameson (see Carey B. Jameson).  He married October 7, 1929, Bertha Olive Parker, born May 11, 1908, died March 3, 1972, buried in Coleman, the daughter of Jett and Neely Gray (Holloway) Parker.  Roland C. married 2nd, November 18, 1972, Nita Lee (Miller) Wilder.  Roland took his early years of education in the Lone Star Elementary School and three years in Coleman High School.  He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church until it discontinued, then in the Fundamentalist Baptist in Coleman until it disorganized.  He moved to Concho Baptist Church and later to First Baptist in Coleman.  Roland started farming in 1929, living in a house on his fatherís land for nine years.  He and Bertha bought a 230 acre piece of land east of his fatherís place.  They rented more from year to year until he was controlling many more acres.  He has had a herd of cattle all of his farming years and still has cattle on a small rented acreage.  In 1973, Roland sold his land and had given up most of his rent land.  In 1940, he and Bertha moved into Coleman, but continued farming.  In 1933, he worked pant time for AAA, and in 1940, he was employed by Production Credit Association for a ten year period.  In 1952, he had an assistant job with Sheriff H. F. Fenton, in 1960, he was in the Police Department.  He and Bertha were in the Parakeet breeding, raising and marketing business for ten years.  They had at one time almost a thousand birds.  Roland enjoys woodwork in his shop as a hobby.  Roland and Nita Lee enjoy traveling.  Roland has a daughter, Shirley Faye, born April 19, 1934.
